In view of the present circumstances of the rapid spread of COVID-19 globally, and in order to limit the spread of the virus among Sri Lankans who visit the Sri Lanka Missions overseas, the Ministry of Foreign Relations has decided to limit the provision of consular services in certain Sri Lanka Missions overseas and their accredited stations commencing 16th of March until further notice.

Accordingly, from 16th of March 2020 on wards and until further notice, the Embassy will be arranged to restrict services (in Norway, Finland and Iceland) related only to the:

1.   Issuance of temporary / emergency travel documents

2.   Issuance and certification of documents relevant to deaths of Sri Lankans

3.   Any other emergency consular service, which is deemed necessary    

4.   Urgent inquiries regarding COVID-19 pandemic

These services will be extended by the Mission on a case by case basis and strictly with a prior appointment secured from the Mission in order to minimize the exposure/spread of the virus among Sri Lankans.
