Mr. Øyvind Morris Faye, CEO and Founder at Green
Supply in Norway paid a visit to H.E. Mr. Godfrey Cooray, Ambassador at the
Embassy of Sri Lanka in Oslo on October 22, 2020 to introduce his company to
the Mission to promote “Hyson Ceylon Tea” as one of the world’s renowned tea in
Mr. Faye informed that he started to import the Hyson
Tea to Norway couple weeks ago and informed us that Hyson Teas already is
distributed to a big chain in Norway called Europris. They have about 270
stores across the country.
Mr. Faye explained of the prospect of importing and
selling Ceylon Tea for the Norwegian market, Iceland and Finland in the future.
Hyson Teas (Pvt) Ltd., is a specialized tea Company
engaged in exporting the finest quality Ceylon tea to over 40 countries
worldwide. Hyson Teas was incorporated in 2002 and ever since, their export
business has been increasing rapidly because of their business practices,
business associates and partners overseas.
His Excellency, Mr. Godfrey Cooray informed Mr. Faye
that the Embassy is ready to promote Hyson Tea giving priority as Sri Lankan
Tea is the best Tea in the World and will include Hyson Tea in the Mission’s
Business Forum website.
The Ambassador highlighted that in the future he would
be looking to have a press conference to promote the Ceylon Tea. Mr. Faye was
very happy for the proposal. The Embasy is planning to have a promotional campaign
and food fair in Lillestrøm in January 2021. But due to the COVID there is a
doubt that the fair will take place. But Promotional activities will be
organized by the Mission to promote Ceylon Tea giving more publicity in the
Embassy as well as in the press.
Mr. Faye also explained about the Hyson Tea products
like the Organic Wellness Collection a fresh non blended tea and Hyson Exotic
Collection of handpicked teas and fruits infusions. He is looking forward to
eventually import other Hyson products accordingly.
Mr. Faye presented the Ambassador with a variety of
Hyson Tea which is now displayed at the Mission. His Excellency requested some
sample tea to be distributed among the Diplomatic Corps and leading businessmen
and Tea consuming lovers.
